A club is part of how you actually live. The round before work, the table after it, the family Sunday, the friends you only see here. The plan starts with a simple question: how does Manchester fit your life, and make it better? Better golf, better performance, better places to gather, more reasons to come through the gate.

The Oasis.

Minutes from the state's busiest city sits a place of quiet, green, and belonging. That is rare, and it is fragile. This is a bubble worth protecting: the calm, the space, the sense that when you turn in off the road the noise falls away. Planning is how we keep it that way for the next decade, on purpose rather than by accident.

Getting there is not luck. It is understanding our members and planning with intention. This effort listens first, then turns what it hears into clear guidance, so it can be a steady voice to the Board and the committees who will make the calls for years to come. Good planning is how a club earns its style, and keeps it.

You know every turn of it. The opening tee shot, the walk to the turn, the closing hole in the low evening light. It is beautiful, it is ours, and it happens to be an original Donald Ross design, among the finest in the state.

The architect

Built by Donald Ross.

The most celebrated architect of golf's Golden Age. His courses are quiet tests of thinking, not muscle, and they hold up a century later. A few of the fingerprints to look for on ours:

  • Crowned, turtleback greens that shed anything less than a precise shot.
  • False fronts that reject the timid approach and roll it back.
  • Open, run-up approaches that invite the ground game, with real trouble waiting long.
  • Deception off the tee — angles and misdirection that reward the player who plots.
  • Diagonal bunkering that frames the hole and asks a question on every drive.
  • Naturalness — holes laid gently on the land, not bulldozed into it.

Ron Forse and Forse Design specialize in bringing Golden Age courses back to their architects' original intent. Few have done more of it with Ross, which is exactly why the work belongs in their hands.
